What happens

Troy McClure, the swept-back reddish-haired actor in a white suit, pink sweater and red tie, stands on a stage holding a microphone in front of a blue curtain and a sign reading 'I Can't Believe They Invented It!' with his signature. He paces and gestures while an audience of seated spectators watches, and on-screen credits appear first naming co-executive producers Al Jean and Mike Reiss, then supervising producers Jay Kogen and Wallace Wolodarsky.
