What happens

Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are in the family living room, with Homer hauling a framed picture of a sailboat away from the wall while Marge grabs at it and Bart and Maggie look on wide-eyed. Later, the family sits crammed together on the orange couch under the sailboat painting, all staring ahead, as a lamp, a telephone and a stack of magazines sit on the side table. The moment ends on a pink-walled television screen in blue, first reading "Created by Matt Groening" and then "Developed by James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Sam Simon" in yellow letters, which is the show's opening credits.
