What happens

Bart, a spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt and blue sneakers, sits on a purple bench reading a comic book inside a log-walled treehouse, while Milhouse, blue-haired with red glasses and a lavender shirt and red shorts, peeks in through the window at left and later stands beside a girl with a shoulder-length light brown bob in a pink dress with a white collar. Milhouse waves toward Bart and then gestures with his hand as the girl stands close beside him, and Bart looks up from his comic with a scowl and an open-mouthed, indignant expression. Bart's comic book, showing a green monster on its cover, stays in his hands throughout, and a green bush is visible through the window.
