Marge Simpson and Homer Simpson embrace on a wooden boardwalk at sunset, with a pier railing, lampposts, and a building with a glowing sign…

What happens

Marge Simpson, with her tall blue beehive and green dress, and Homer Simpson, bald and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, embrace on a wooden boardwalk at sunset, with a pier railing, lampposts, and a building with a glowing sign on the right. In the first moment they hug closely facing each other, then they turn and walk away together toward the setting sun, Marge's arm around Homer's waist. The scene then fades to black, and white credit text appears on black, first reading 'Executive Producer DAVID MIRKIN' and then 'Executive Producers JAMES L. BROOKS, MATT GROENING, SAM SIMON' before the screen goes fully black.
