What happens

Mr. Burns, the frail, very thin, stooped old man with a hooked nose and grey-blue hair at the sides, sits in a purple robe in a tall red armchair in a library lined with bookshelves, while Smithers, his thin assistant with glasses, stands at the left beside a white pillar and a wall sconce with a lit candle. Across the frames Burns shifts slightly in his chair, his mouth opening as he speaks with a sardonic, weary expression, and his hands rest on the armrests. Smithers stays standing in place, looking toward Burns with his head slightly lowered, and the setting remains unchanged throughout.
