What happens

Homer, the bald, heavy man in a white tank top, lies in a hotel bed talking into a purple telephone while a bellhop in a dark uniform with a white sash straightens a framed picture on the pink wall. The scene opens on the exterior of the Springfield Palace Hotel, whose maroon sign reads "SPRINGFIELD PALACE HOTEL," then moves into a room with twin beds, lamps, and a purple phone on the nightstand. Homer keeps holding the receiver, wide-eyed, as the bellhop works at the wall, and the luggage cart waits outside the hotel doors.
