What happens

Bart, Lisa, Marge and baby Maggie sit among a cheering, hand-waving crowd in a packed hall with a red curtain. Two suited men sit on a stage beside a wooden podium while the audience raises its hands, then a man in a blue suit seen from behind stands at a podium facing rows of people beneath portraits on the wall. Homer, in a white shirt, reaches toward a dark wooden door with a frowning expression, and then the two suited men stand at the podium while the seated audience watches.
