Homer Simpson stands over a fallen, dazed boxer lying face-down on the canvas of a boxing ring, while spectators hang over the ropes behind him
The Simpsons, “The Homer They Fall” (season 8, episode 3), 9:59–10:11
What happens
Homer Simpson, bald and in white boxing trunks with black gloves, stands over a fallen, dazed boxer lying face-down on the canvas of a boxing ring, while spectators hang over the ropes behind him. The scene cuts to a board reading 'Association of Springfield Semi-Pro Boxers ASSBOX' with the number 1 slot listing 'Switchyard Sullivan', then to a board showing number 7 'H. SIMPSON' partly obscured by a dark blob, with 'One-Eyed Jack' below. Next, a red-lettered 'PREMIUM WASH' sign glows on a machine, and finally a pair of hands pulls out a card reading 'Boxcar Ira' from slot number 6.
