What happens

Dark silhouettes of children in beds are seen through a small attic window framed by green curtains against a purple night wall. A figure in a pointed nightcap sits up and turns toward a second figure with bushy hair, and the two face each other and talk, then the beds sit empty before a figure with a ponytail appears in bed by the window. The scene is lit only by the yellow glow behind the window panes.
