What happens

An old sea captain with white hair, a white beard and a navy coat stands beside a young sailor in a red-and-white striped shirt and sailor cap, who grips a ship's wheel in a wheelhouse under a purple night sky, with a lit lighthouse beam sweeping across the dark hills and water outside. Later, Marge, with her tall blue beehive and green dress, stands at a white railing with her hands raised, while Homer, bald and in a white shirt and blue pants, stands beside her, both watching a dark freighter with glowing lights on its deck come toward them over the water. Then they turn slightly away from the railing, still looking out at the approaching ship as its wake trails across the sea.
