What happens

Mr. Burns, in a black beret and green scarf, and his thin assistant Smithers, in glasses and a grey vest, stand together in a close-up, with Smithers reading a slip of paper while Burns clasps his hands and frowns. Wider views show a large crowd of children in colorful backpacks standing on snowy ground around a long wooden platform where two figures stand, one holding a bag, under snowy mountains and pine trees. The crowd stays mostly still across these views while the focus moves from the platform to the close-up of Burns and Smithers.
