Mrs. Krabappel smiles from behind her desk while Bart stands before her with a sullen glare

What happens

Mrs. Krabappel, Bart's teacher with a tall brown hairdo and green sweater, smiles from behind her desk while Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, stands before her with a sullen glare. Later she stands at the front of a classroom beneath a strip of alphabet letters, and seated students at wooden desks, including two girls with purple hair and pink bows and a redheaded boy in a blue jacket, watch her while Bart remains at the right edge of the room.
