The Simpsons, “The Canine Mutiny” (season 8, episode 20), 3:34–3:45
What happens
A heavy man with reddish hair at the sides, a jagged toothy grin and a blue-purple shirt stands behind a comic shop counter as Bart, in an orange shirt, points at the counter and talks to him. The man then lifts a hardbound box set titled The Radioactive Man Collection, with its cover of the hero rising from a mushroom cloud, and holds it up beside his head. The scene then shows the box's Vol. II cover, with Radioactive Man running beside a runner carrying a torch, while shelves behind them display The Only Comics Guide You'll Ever Need.
