Apu rides a grey elephant with a blue saddle past a crowd outside a house and then climbs down its side, raising one arm

What happens

Apu, in a red turban and white tunic, rides a grey elephant with a blue saddle past a crowd outside a house and then climbs down its side, raising one arm. A small brown mouse scurries on the grass beneath the elephant while onlookers, including Marge with her tall blue beehive, watch with clasped hands and open mouths. Afterward Apu stands before a flower-covered arch beside a thin man in a white robe, and speaks with a sour expression as the crowd looks on.
