Apu sits at a desk counting cash while three men in suits stand behind and to the sides of him

What happens

Apu, the Kwik-E-Mart proprietor in a green jacket over a black vest, sits at a desk counting cash while three men in suits stand behind and to the sides of him. He works a paper-tape adding machine, feeds out a strip, then tears it off and holds it up, first looking at it and then gesturing with it while grinning and closing his eyes. Stacks of bills and scattered pills cover the desk, with a large tray of money on the right and a pink wall behind.
