What happens

Smithers, the thin assistant with glasses and a bow tie, stands on a glass balcony beside a muscular bald bearded man in a white loincloth, beneath a red LED sign reading "THE NEW GOD" and a tree-shaped "B" logo. Earlier, two huge blue statues flank a stage above a crowd and a row of blue-uniformed figures with black heads, then the man spreads his arms and speaks while Smithers claps his hands together, raises both arms, and finally stoops low to grip the man's hand.
