The Simpsons, “Simpson Tide” (season 9, episode 19), 17:43–17:53
What happens
A man in a dark blue suit and black-framed glasses sits behind a United States placard, talking into a microphone and gesturing with his hands, while a grey-haired delegate in a dark suit and red tie listens beside him. Troy McClure, with swept-back reddish hair, sits behind a RUSSIA placard, smirking and speaking, then turns to gesture as his placard changes to SOVIET UNION and he keeps talking. The scene then shifts to a parade in front of an onion-domed cathedral, where floats and a crowd pass below a purple banner with a white peace sign that is replaced by a red flag with a gold hammer and sickle.
