What happens

Homer, the bald, heavy man in a white shirt and blue pants, climbs unsteadily up a wooden staircase in a dim, unfinished basement while Marge, with her tall blue beehive and red bead necklace, watches from the right. He grips the railing, pauses on a step, glances back over his shoulder with a strained, grimacing expression, and then continues up. The scene then cuts to the exterior of the Simpson house, with a pink garage door, a blue mailbox, and a clear blue sky.
