What happens

Homer, the bald, heavy man in a white shirt and blue pants, sits up in bed against a dark red headboard beside a red lampshade, with a pink wall and a framed picture behind him. He holds a box of Peanuts in one hand and pinches a peanut shell up in front of his face, staring at it with wide eyes and an open mouth. He then turns toward the lamp, grinning and holding the peanut up near the lampshade while peanut shells scatter over his shirt and pants. He turns his head away, glancing sideways with a grimace, and finally leans out of the bed toward the right, his eyes half-closed, with the pillow behind him.
