What happens

Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt and blue shorts, stands at a classroom chalkboard filled with rows of the chalked line 'HIGH EXPLOSIVES AND SCHOOL DON'T MIX', writing with chalk in his hand. He then steps away from the board, flinging one arm out with a grinning, squinting face and a wide-legged, bouncing stance beside a red wastebasket and a wall clock. The title card 'THE SIMPSONS' in yellow letters appears over drifting clouds on a blue sky, opening the sequence before the classroom scene begins.
