What happens

Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, pilots the white rocket marked Hover Rocket while Homer, bald and in a white shirt, flies a second white rocket, and a brown-haired driver sits in an orange shark-mouthed car with flames painted on its side. The three vehicles race across a flat grey track and then down a street, with the car and rocket side by side, between lines of cheering crowds with Marge's tall blue beehive visible among them. Near the end the vehicles approach a red-roped lane where spectators, including Marge, Lisa, Grampa and a boy in a blue cap, wave their arms and cheer.
