What happens

Homer, in a yellow hazmat suit with a visor, stands at a control panel beneath a CAUTION sign, gripping an orange rod with a glowing green tip, then reaches up toward the red and green buttons while Mr. Burns, frail with a hooked nose, and the thin, bespectacled Smithers watch from behind a counter where Burns holds a blueprint. The scene cuts to a store checkout where Maggie, a baby with a blue bow, reads a MOM Monthly magazine beside a blue register with a CHECKS sign, and then Maggie, sucking a pacifier in a shopping cart, sits beside Marge, who has a tall blue beehive, red beads, and a green dress, and smiles with her eyes closed.
