What happens

Santa's Little Helper, the family's brown greyhound, lies sprawled with eyes shut and tongue slightly out on a purple and white checkered floor, with yellow spiky shapes at the bottom corners. He stays nearly motionless throughout, and a brief black blank screen interrupts the image before he reappears in the same pose. No people are visible and no on-screen text appears.
