What happens

Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, sits on a rug in the pink living room with Lisa, the star-haired girl in a red dress, while Homer, Marge with her tall blue beehive, and Maggie with her pacifier and blue bow watch from the couch behind them. A static TV screen of orange, black and white stripes sits on a stand beside Bart, and the scene shifts to Bart standing in front of the set, mouth open and eyes squeezed shut as he reaches toward it. Then Bart is back on the rug beside Lisa, eyes closed and grinning with his arms out, while the family looks on and a purple lampshade sits oddly on his head, and the open book lies on the rug in front of them.
