The Simpsons, “Treehouse of Horror IV” (season 5, episode 5), 0:00–0:11
What happens
No characters are visible in this sequence. It opens on a black screen, then shows a snowy, stormy night over a hilly landscape with power lines, a dotted leopard-spotted patch, and a sign in the lower right. The title card 'The Simpsons Halloween Special' appears in dripping red letters over the scene, which then fills the screen with the large red title. The view then shifts to a fenced graveyard labeled 'Springfield Cemetery' with glowing headstones, bare blue trees, and a purple sky under falling rain or snow.
