What happens

Homer, Ned Flanders and Bart sit in an orange inflatable raft on the open sea, with a small reddish-haired figure beside them. Homer, scowling and gripping a flare gun, fires a red flare straight up into the blue sky while Flanders and Bart look on. The flare trails smoke and then falls back toward the water as a tiny plane with grey smoke streaks appears high overhead.
