What happens

Homer Simpson, bald and heavy in a white shirt, stands at the kitchen table eating a sandwich and holding a second one, while Bart Simpson, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, sits writing on a sheet of paper with a pencil as an open book lies beside him. Stacks of books surround the blue-covered table in the purple-and-blue kitchen, with a microwave, hanging red utensils and a corkboard in view. Bart glances up in a nervous, wide-eyed look and keeps writing, then Homer turns and holds up two half-eaten sandwiches, looking sideways with a sour expression, while Bart keeps a worried face as he works.
