What happens

Homer Simpson, bald and heavy in a white shirt and blue pants, stands in a factory beside a conveyor belt, clutching stacked cardboard boxes with a red hat on top, then kneels on the floor next to a box and looks startled. He throws both arms up and, in the following moments, is shown with arms raised above a small box with a red hat on the floor beside a conveyor belt. The scene then cuts to Bart, spiky-haired in an orange shirt, perched on a red-and-yellow star-marked stool in front of a wooden panel with partial lettering reading "USTY #14," a "PIZZA ROMA" sign on the left wall, and a staircase behind him.
