What happens

Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt and blue shorts, stands beside a cardboard box in a pink living room, holding a red hat and looking up with a wide grin before turning his eyes aside and clutching the hat tighter. Homer, seen only as a bald yellow arm and blue sleeve at the left edge, is partly visible near the box. Marge, with her tall blue beehive and beaded necklace, leans over the back of a maroon couch and places her hand on Bart's shoulder while looking at him with a sheepish, pleased expression. Behind them a shelf holds books and a stereo, and a colorful rug lies on the floor.
