What happens

Apu, the dark-haired Kwik-E-Mart clerk in a light blue shirt, stands behind the checkout counter beside a CASH sign while Homer, the bald heavy man in a white shirt, comes to the counter. Homer lifts a large orange hat with a black dot on its crown, holds it up with both hands, and then raises one hand as Apu glances at him. The scene ends with Homer holding the hat overhead, looking tense as Apu keeps watching, with a Bargain Table sign and jars of goods visible in the store.
