What happens

On a stage in front of a large crowd of elderly people outside the Center for Geriatric Medicine, a row of figures sits behind a podium beneath a banner reading "GRAND OPENING MEET TV'S MATLOCK!" The opening frame is black, then the stage comes into view with a few seated people, and the crowd grows in view as the scene progresses, with the wide shot of the bald Homer-like figure and a grey-haired woman in the foreground's crowd of spectators. The crowd remains largely still while a caption reading "Supervising Producer HAROLD KIMMEL" appears in white letters over the lower middle of the scene.
