What happens

No regular Simpsons characters appear in this moment; it shows a pale lavender spacecraft with a rounded canopy and small yellow portholes drifting through black space past a large orange, partly lit sun and a blue planet edge on the right. Across the sequence the spacecraft moves steadily downward and slightly toward the right, growing larger and tilting, while the sun stays in place at the right and gradually sinks behind the spacecraft's path until only a sliver of the sun is visible by the final moment. Small white stars dot the background throughout, and no on-screen text appears.
