The Simpsons, “Deep Space Homer” (season 5, episode 15), 14:24–14:34
What happens
Homer, bald and wide-mouthed, and Mr. Burns, grey-haired with a hooked nose, sit strapped into their seats in white spacesuits alongside another astronaut with dark hair, all screaming and pressed back as their rocket lifts off. The scene begins with blazing engines igniting beneath three white rocket boosters, then shows the rocket rising past an orange launch tower under a bright blue sky with white clouds streaming past. Inside the cramped cabin, the crew strains against their harnesses, with American flag patches visible on their suits.
