Mr. Burns reads a sheet of paper at a desk while Smithers stands beside him
The Simpsons, “Lady Bouvier's Lover” (season 5, episode 21), 15:17–15:25
What happens
Mr. Burns, frail and hook-nosed, reads a sheet of paper at a desk while Smithers, a thin man with glasses wearing a green jacket, purple bow tie and ID badge, stands beside him. Smithers grins, touches his chest, then fidgets with his face and eye, while a white polar bear behind him on a blue pedestal throws up its paws and roars. The scene ends with Burns alone at the desk, smirking over the paper as the bear still roars in the background.
