The Simpsons, “Bart After Dark” (season 8, episode 5), 15:00–15:12
What happens
A heavyset man in a purple suit and blue tie reads from papers at a wooden podium with a microphone against a red curtain, then looks down with a frown. Behind him, a crowd of onlookers sits in the audience, several with open mouths. Marge Simpson, with her tall blue beehive and green dress, steps up to the podium and speaks while Ned Flanders in his green sweater and moustache and other people stand on the stage behind her. The scene moves from the speaker at the podium to Marge speaking into the microphone.
