Homer stands at a wooden podium on a stage with red curtains while Mr. Burns stands at a podium across from him

What happens

Homer, in a blue suit and green tie, stands at a wooden podium on a stage with red curtains while Mr. Burns, the frail, stooped old man with a hooked nose and grey hair at the sides, stands at a podium across from him. Burns speaks, then gestures with a pointing hand, while Homer looks toward him with a wide-eyed expression. Behind them, a packed audience in a wood-paneled hall reacts, with a grey-haired man in a light suit and red tie, a woman in a light blue dress with a lavender hairdo, and a moustached man in a green sweater with suspenders shouting and laughing. Chief Wiggum, the fat police chief in a blue uniform and cap, then stands in the foreground pointing and talking in the audience, with a bald man and a blue-haired woman behind him.
