What happens

No characters appear in these frames; the scene shows a close-up of a beige AT-5000 fax machine on a teal desk, with a grey telephone partly visible at the left edge against a pink wall. The display reads 555-0001 and the red DIAL and REDIAL indicator lights glow steadily. The two paper rollers and the keypad with 1 through 9, star and hash keys stay still while the machine sits motionless throughout, and the only visible text is the model name AT-5000 and the labels SEND, MANUAL, AUTO, PLAY, RECORD and POWER.
