Mr. Burns stands on the left with his hands clasped together and his mouth open as he speaks, while Smithers stands beside him on the right…

What happens

Mr. Burns, the frail, very thin, stooped old man with a hooked nose and grey hair at the sides, stands on the left with his hands clasped together and his mouth open as he speaks, while Smithers, his thin assistant in glasses, a purple bow tie and a brown jacket, stands beside him on the right holding a stopwatch in one hand. They stand outdoors against a bright blue sky with white clouds and a street lamp at the left edge. Over the course of the clip Burns keeps talking and gesturing with his clasped hands, while Smithers remains still, looking off to the side and holding the stopwatch. Credit text appears over the lower part of the scene, first reading 'Produced by Richard Sakai, Denise Sirkot', then 'Written by John Swartzwelder', and finally 'Directed by Mark Kirkland'.
