What happens

The sequence opens on a black screen, then a blue sky with drifting clouds shows the orange title "The Simpsons" over it. The scene moves to a suburban driveway in front of the yellow house with an open garage, where a pink car sits with a small yellow figure inside, and Bart, the spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt, leaps up above the brick wall at the right. Homer, bald and wearing a white shirt and blue pants, then stands beside the pink car's front fender as a mailbox sits at the lower left and bicycles and cardboard boxes are visible in the garage.
