The Simpsons, “The Old Man and the Lisa” (season 8, episode 21), 4:58–5:10
What happens
Mr. Burns, a frail, stooped old man, and his thin assistant Smithers in a purple bow tie stand before a row of identical grey-suited, red-tied men in a wood-panelled room lined with bookshelves, as Burns gestures toward the line and then turns away. The scene moves outdoors to Uriah's Heap Recycling Center, a yellow shack under a sign reading "URIAH'S HEAP RECYCLING CENTER", where Bart and Lisa stand with other children as a man in a purple shirt carries a tall stack of newspapers. The bearded man with a long black ponytail in a pink tie-dye shirt takes a small card from him while more stacks of newspaper sit on the ground.
