What happens

Starting with the characters: a man in a white sweater vest and white trousers, who is not one of the regulars (he has a moustache and brown hair with a bowtie-like collar), stands on a checkered tile floor in a beige hallway between two pillars, waving his right hand while holding a small object. Behind him, a framed pink picture shows the Simpson family: Marge with her tall blue beehive, Maggie with a pacifier and blue bow, Bart in his orange shirt, Homer in his white shirt, Lisa in her red dress, and a small green alien figure above them. The man keeps waving and the scene then cuts to black, where the on-screen credits appear in orange letters: first 'Executive Producers Bill Oakley & Josh Weinstein', then 'Executive Producers James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Sam Simon', and finally 'Starring Dan Castellaneta'.
