About the episode

Troy McClure hosts a showcase of three would-be Simpsons spin-offs. First, Chief Wiggum, now a New Orleans private eye, teams up with Principal Skinner against the crime boss Big Daddy, who kidnaps Ralph; then Grampa's ghost inhabits Moe's love-tester machine and coaches Moe through a date with a woman named Betty. Finally, the family, minus Lisa, hosts a 1970s-style variety hour.
