Homer Simpson stands beside a Love Tester machine in a dim bar with wood-panel walls and a green wall at right

What happens

Homer Simpson, the bald, heavy man with stubble in a white shirt, stands beside a Love Tester machine in a dim bar with wood-panel walls and a green wall at right. The machine's lit panel lists Casanova, Hot Tamale, Hubba-Hubba, Lube Warm Lube, Lovelorn and Cold Fish, with a heart-shaped lever below. In the first frames Homer stares ahead with a wary, sideways glance, then he turns toward the machine, looks over his shoulder with a startled, open-mouthed expression, and finally turns back to face the machine with a sour, narrowed look while the red lights along the panel flicker on and off.
