Homer Simpson and Marge Simpson sit side by side at the dining table in their pink living room, with framed family portraits and a staircase…

What happens

Homer Simpson, bald and stubbled in his white shirt, and Marge Simpson, with her tall blue beehive and red beads, sit side by side at the dining table in their pink living room, with framed family portraits and a staircase behind them. Homer grins and gestures while talking, then both lean and speak to each other, and the scene dissolves into a semi-transparent overlay as the view shifts to an aerial look over a city of low buildings, green trees, and a nuclear plant with twin cooling towers and smoke. The city's lower right corner shows a dark patch with glowing orange flames and rising smoke, which spreads and grows across the view as the sequence ends. On-screen credits at the bottom name the supervising producers and co-producers, and as the scene changes these credit names disappear.
