What happens

Kent Brockman, the grey-haired news anchor in a red jacket and blue tie, sits at a desk on a TV screen beside an inset picture of a police officer and a hippo. The scene opens dark on the Simpsons' house at night, then shows the house in daylight with the title card "The Homega Man" over it before cutting to Brockman's newscast. It ends with Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie seated on their brown couch in the living room, watching the TV, with Homer holding a red-topped cup.
