The Simpsons, “The Cartridge Family” (season 9, episode 5), 12:37–12:49
What happens
Bart, a spiky-haired boy in an orange shirt and blue shorts, stands in a backyard holding a stack of plates, then Homer, bald and heavy in a white shirt and blue pants, raises a shotgun over a wooden fence toward the sky while a plate-throwing setup plays out. Bart tosses plates from the doorway area and Homer fires, then the close-up shows Homer glaring and grimacing as shards of a shattered plate scatter around his head. Blue sky, a pink house with a dark roof, a green hedge, and a stack of plates on the porch are visible.
