The Simpsons, “Lisa the Skeptic” (season 9, episode 8), 11:06–11:16
What happens
A small figure in an orange shirt with spiky hair, likely Bart, watches from the bottom left of a museum hall as two workers in blue caps on swings wash a large blue whale model hanging from the ceiling. One worker sprays water from a hose at the whale's side while the other scrubs its open white mouth with a sponge, and the whale stays still throughout. The scene then shifts to a door with a sign reading "Stephen Jay Gould Ph. D."
