Mr. Burns sits in a tall red armchair behind a desk with a nameplate reading C.M. BURNS, while his thin assistant Smithers stands beside him…

What happens

Mr. Burns, the frail, very thin, stooped old man with a hooked nose and grey hair at the sides, sits in a tall red armchair behind a desk with a nameplate reading C.M. BURNS, while his thin assistant Smithers, wearing glasses and a bow tie, stands beside him at the right. Burns sits with his hands clasped and speaks with a sly, grinning expression, then tilts his head back and laughs with eyes shut, hands still pressed together. In the later part of the moment he turns back to a calm, scheming look with a smirk while Smithers keeps smiling, and the window behind shows a rainy sky. A brief ghostly, translucent overlay appears in the middle of the moment, showing a second green-tinted figure and a faded Smithers beside Burns, before the scene returns to the desk.
