What happens

Krusty the Clown, with green hair and a red nose, stands in front of a sign reading "Bart's Comedy Jar" and reads from a notepad, then flips to a long list of paper and keeps reading. Krusty's pad and the paper sheet are in his white-gloved hands and move as he turns the pages and looks down at the list. In the final part of the scene, Krusty stands with his back to the viewer in a pink room, facing Marge, Lisa and Homer, who sit on a dark couch and watch him, with Marge in her tall blue beehive, Lisa in her red dress and Homer in his white shirt and blue jeans.
