Homer stands at the foot of a bed in a purple bedroom while Marge lies propped on the pillows

What happens

Homer, wearing a white captain's hat, white gloves, a bow tie and white briefs, stands at the foot of a bed in a purple bedroom while Marge, with her tall blue beehive, lies propped on the pillows. Close-ups show him fussing with his bow tie, flexing his white-gloved hands, and gripping the gold hilt of a sword, his face shifting from a scowl to an open-mouthed speech. The scene ends with him standing by the bed holding the sword at his hip, with a lamp on the nightstand and a portrait of the kids on the wall behind.
